Lorenzo council approves minutes and November financials

The Lorenzo City Council approved minutes from its Nov. 7 special public hearing and its Nov. 12 regular meeting and accepted the November 2024 financial statements during the Dec. 9 regular meeting.
Council Member Rhonda Cypert moved to approve the Nov. 7 special meeting/public hearing minutes; Council Member Janet Peterson-Gonzales seconded. The record shows the vote as four in favor, one absent, and the motion passed. Later in the meeting, Council Member Earlene Rampy moved to approve the Nov. 12 regular meeting minutes, seconded by Council Member Cheryl Birdwell; that motion also passed 4–0 with one absence.
In the same block of routine business, Council Member Rhonda Cypert moved to approve the November 2024 financial reports and accounts payable; Council Member Cheryl Birdwell seconded. The motion passed with four votes in favor and one absence. These routine approvals were taken early in the meeting during the regular agenda.
The council convened at 7:00 p.m., heard no public comments, received staff reports from City Manager Michael Chambers, Crosby County Deputy Clay Ragland and Fire Chief Josh King (discussion-only), and adjourned at 8:07 p.m. Mayor Lori Landin presided and City Secretary Lisa Hernandez attested the minutes.
