Council accepts donated swim dock but flags fit concerns

The Harrison City Council voted April 14 to accept a donated swim dock from Kootenai County Parks & Waterways, though councilmembers said the county's dock might not fit existing pilings at the swim area.
TJ Byrne told the council he inspected the current dock and found the flotation needs work but said the dock offered by Kootenai County could be too long to fit the current pilings. Council accepted the donation after a motion by Will Butler and a second from Charlie Shutt. The minutes note that "Kootenai County will deliver the dock at no cost."
