The Carneys Point Township Committee voted unanimously on May 6 to adopt Ordinance 1090, a bond ordinance that appropriates $1,107,765 for acquisition of capital equipment and completion of capital improvements.
Mayor Bomba opened the public hearing on Ordinance 1090, which was introduced at the May 6 meeting and published May 7. With no public comments the committee moved and adopted the ordinance by roll call. The ordinance authorizes the issuance of general-obligation bonds or bond anticipation notes of up to $1,052,376 as part of the funding plan for the listed projects and equipment.
The ordinance's adoption allows township officials to proceed with procurement and contracting steps outlined in the bond authorization. No individual projects beyond the ordinance description were approved separately at the meeting.
