Council previews Fourth of July plans; Grand Marshal and Citizen of the Year nominations noted

Council Member Jordan Hulsey reported that community volunteers, led in large part by the Ross family, have organized most Fourth of July activities. The Council confirmed vendor booth space near the firehouse southeast corner with about 30-amp electrical availability and said Bingo will be coordinated by Alexis. Hulsey asked council members to bring a three- to five-minute patriotic program idea to the June 11 meeting for a final decision.
City Recorder Diana Mund confirmed one Grand Marshal nomination (Randy and Cheryl Braegger) and a Citizen of the Year nomination (Rick Zundel). Council Member Hulsey indicated she would provide input in advance to the City Recorder for the June 11 meeting because she will not attend that session. The Council did not take final action on awards at this meeting.
