State officials updated the Board on the village's Downtown Revitalization Initiative/NY Forward award and next steps.
Susan Landfried of the NYS Department of State said Highland Falls was awarded $4.5 million in the 2023 round-two NY Forward/DRI program. She said the Department of State will oversee the Ladycliff Park branding and wayfinding component, ACHR will handle smaller projects, and Empire State Development staff will work on the projects awarded to the community. Landfried noted that funds declined by one project will be reallocated to underfunded projects within the program.
Trustees were told that the village will add NYF documents to its website and the Department of State's round-two communities link is available for reference.
