City Manager Jeremy Kimpton reported that the Hop Trail project team expects to complete final design by July and then proceed to a bid process, with the city targeting a September or October groundbreaking. The update came as part of the City Manager's report on June 11.
Kimpton also discussed related operational items including a Republic Services quote for replacing damaged trash cans, and said he would present a formal trash-can replacement proposal at a future meeting. The Hop Trail timeline moves the project toward construction bidding this summer and fall.
