City Secretary positions see two terminations; mayor directed to seek temporary replacement

At the Aug. 18 meeting the council adopted a resolution terminating Shanon Sharrock as City Secretary and later recorded a vote of no confidence and termination for Pamela Holley as City Secretary. Sharon Monroe made the motion to adopt the resolution terminating Sharrock (Amanda Molnar seconded) and the vote was recorded as unanimous (5-0). The minutes later record Sharon Monroe moving and Bob Sutherland seconding a vote of no confidence to terminate Pamela Holley, also recorded as passed unanimously (5-0).

Following the termination of Pamela Holley, the council authorized Mayor Ken Padilla to contact a temporary staffing agency to find a replacement for the City Secretary; Bob Sutherland made the motion, Amanda Molnar seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes do not include personnel files, performance details, or grounds for the terminations.
