Council takes no action on Ruby Acres annexation and chief of police appointment
Summary
Council received an annexation request for Ruby Acres (Jim Towns Road) and considered appointing a Calvert chief of police but took no action on either item at the Aug. 26 meeting.
The council discussed but took no action on a request to annex the property known as Ruby Acres along Jim Towns Road. The minutes note the item and that no vote or further action was taken.
Similarly, the council considered the interview and/or appointment of a Calvert chief of police but recorded no appointment or vote. Later in the meeting the council entered executive session for consultation with the attorney and personnel deliberations, then reconvened and again took no action on a list of personnel items.
