County moves ahead with several road and preservation projects totaling hundreds of thousands

The engineer said the crack-sealing work typically yields three to five years of additional service life and that purchase orders for these projects have been secured or are ready to move forward.
A separate preservation project was described for County Road 42 to place reclamite over a mountain segment; the engineer said the treatment should provide roughly five years of additional life to the existing hot-mix asphalt. Commissioners asked timing and budget questions; the engineer estimated completion on several projects before the end of September.
No final contract award was recorded during the work session; staff indicated most items would be placed on the next formal agenda for approval or ratification.
