EDC outlines incubator, coworking and scaling programs at 307 San Marcos

Cameron said the incubator will run cohort-based startup programming, complemented by an 8–12 week scaling cohort intended for about 10 existing local businesses. The facility will also host mentor office hours, subject-matter experts (accountants, attorneys, marketers) and demo days for entrepreneurs to showcase progress. “Think about an egg… That's what we wanna do for businesses,” Cameron said, describing the incubator’s purpose to nurture businesses until they can grow and remain in Buda.
Cameron told council the SBDC has limited capacity and was turning businesses away, which motivated the locally delivered program; the EDC plans a discovery launch this month and will measure success through KPIs currently being developed by staff.
