New Benicia industrial-safety commission elects chair, vice chair and secretary

David Lindsey was elected chair of the Benicia Industrial Safety Citizen Oversight Commission at the panel—irst meeting on Dec. 3, 2025. Lindsey, a retired chemical engineer who said he served on community air-monitoring efforts, accepted the nomination and told members, "I do accept it." Lars Anderson accepted the vice-chair role, and after a roll-call vote the commission selected Brian Robinson as secretary.
The commission moved several organizational items in short order. Commissioners unanimously approved the consent calendar, including adoption of the 2026 meeting calendar, and later voted to adopt the commission—ourt-mandated rules of procedure. The actions establish the panel nd its meeting cadence as it begins work on air monitoring, notification protocols and ordinance oversight.
