Council approves sale plan for old engine, OKs rescue tools and Cal-Fire agreement

The Loyalton City Council approved a plan to sell the 2000 Pierce Dash fire engine through a third party on a commission basis after receiving no local bids. The sale authorization was moved by S. Mcllravy and seconded by J. Gerow and carried unanimously.
Councilmembers also approved the purchase of hydraulic rescue tools ('jaws of life') with a spending cap of $25,000. Later in the meeting the council adopted Resolution 10-25 to approve Department of Forestry and Fire Protection Agreement #7FG25063; roll-call votes on the resolution were recorded as all members voting 'Aye.'
