Loyalton lifts boil-water notice; council unanimously reaffirms water emergency

Mayor J. Markum told the Loyalton City Council on Oct. 21 that the first phase of the city water line has been finished and that "the boil water notices have been lifted." The council then unanimously voted to reaffirm the city's State of Emergency for the water distribution system; the motion was made by B. Mertton and seconded by S. Mcllravy.
Council members said they will carry the emergency item forward on the next meeting agenda for follow-up and any additional actions. The reaffirmation preserves existing emergency authorities while staff continues post-repair monitoring and any additional public notices or operational steps required by the council.
