DBHR details short-term SUD housing vouchers and Oxford House expansion

Bailey reported program reach and capacity figures: since the beginning of fiscal year 2024 the five-county voucher program served a total of "2,912 households." Separately, subsidies targeted to Oxford House and recovery residences went into contract on 07/01/2024 and served a total of 3,523 people through the first half of the biennium (2,570 people served in the first biennium, 953 in the current biennium as of May 31, 2026). Bailey also summarized Oxford House capacity: "As of May, there are 396 homes across the state... This encompasses 3,518 beds."
DBHR stressed eligibility rules (SUD diagnosis or self-attestation/observation; unhoused or imminent risk; income under 50% area median) and noted some program slots were dedicated to Oxford House. Bailey said the department tracks basic demographics (a yes/no LGBTQIA+ field) and pointed committee members to a Washington Housing Program Guide that documents eligibility and services for multiple programs.
