Commissioners approved a set of operational and small capital items including renewing a SecureTech Systems maintenance contract for $4,881 (panic-button system), a $3,825 renewal for the sheriff's Virtual Academy Solutions subscription (paid from an earmarked sheriff's fund), other surplus declarations and a $493 contract with Spire to install a gas line and meter at the Coroner's Building.
The board also approved a contract to run a gas line and meter to the Sheriff's SWAT building at an estimated $15,000 and ratified the chairman's signature on a $17,000 certified emergency-manager salary supplement subaward. Commissioners adopted a mileage-rate increase from 72.5¢ to 76¢ per mile effective 07/01/2026.
"Consider contract with Spire for the installation of gas line and meter to the Coroner's Building in the amount of $493," the Chair read into the record before the commission carried the item by voice vote. The commission then approved payment of regular bills totaling $1,251,493.54 and adjourned.
