"Our base crew has been, working on Kelly Creek Road, getting it ready for the letting of the federal aid road... That should be done this week," Clay Phillips, the county engineer, said while reporting paving progress. Commissioners discussed the contract details and approved each proposal by voice vote.
Commissioners praised the engineer's value assessment and noted preservation treatments can defer the need for full reconstruction, stretching scarce funds further.
