Fall teams post strong seasons; multiple squads earn NYS scholar‑athlete recognition

Athletic Director R. Hannan thanked the board and community for support that allows the district to host large events. "They can run/host a lot of big events at the school thanks to the tremendous support such as volleyball tournaments, wrestling tournaments, track invitationals, and new this year, the GR Cheerleading competition," Hannan said.
Hannan reviewed results by sport: volleyball finished 12‑2 and won the league title; boys soccer finished 12‑4 and earned a postseason seed; football reached the finals after a playoff run; and girls and boys cross‑country, along with several teams, received NYS Scholar Athlete Team Awards. Hannan emphasized the programs provide leadership and sportsmanship opportunities for students.
