Board certifies election results and adopts bond resolution to fund bus purchases

The Board accepted the Certification of Canvass for the May 19, 2026 annual meeting: the general-purpose budget proposition for $59,838,634 was adopted (328 yes; 130 no); a proposition to purchase and finance up to five gas-powered buses and a student transport vehicle at a cost not to exceed $770,000 was adopted (351 yes; 107 no). The Board also announced the results of the Board of Education election: Scott Collins 319 votes; Misty Portner 365 votes; Ashley Hurd 338 votes.
Separately the Board considered and adopted a Bond Resolution authorizing bonds and bond anticipation notes in a principal amount not to exceed $770,000. The Bond Resolution was approved by roll-call vote with the President and all listed members voting "Yes."
