Canyon adopts Ordinance No. 1246 to amend FY2024–25 operating budget

The Canyon City Commission on Feb. 17 unanimously adopted Ordinance No. 1246, which amends the city’s operating budget for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2024 and ending Sept. 30, 2025. Finance Director Joel Wright presented the ordinance for consideration and outlined its purpose to adjust expected revenues, expenditures and transfers.
After discussion, Commissioner Robyn Cranmer moved to adopt Ordinance No. 1246; Mayor Pro‑Tem Cody Jones seconded and the motion carried unanimously. The ordinance text repeals inconsistent parts of Ordinance No. 1213 to the extent of any conflict and includes standard severability and effective‑date language. The commission did not request further action beyond adoption at the meeting.
