Marcia Cronk, of Pet Resource Foundation, told the Comanche County Facilities Authority during public comment that a recent incident involving abandoned dogs in town highlighted gaps in how the county and local shelters coordinate care. "MOUs are needed to get one or two cages designated at the shelters," Cronk said.
Cronk asked the board to pursue formal memoranda of understanding with local shelters so stray and abandoned animals can be routed and housed efficiently. The request came during the meeting's public‑comment period; no formal action was taken, but the board did not object to exploring the idea further.
