"Avoidance of AI in education is not an option," Harris added, urging the district to help teachers feel confident working with the technology.
Board members did not take formal action on the presentation but were advised that the TeachingAbout.AI materials could inform upcoming professional development and curriculum-planning conversations. The presentation was positioned as an informational briefing to guide future staff training, with no immediate policy changes adopted.
