Council voted unanimously to award a contract to Your AC Company, LLC to install an HVAC system and associated ductwork in the council chambers for an amount not to exceed $15,998 (Item 25-051). City Manager Robbie Rokovitz and Public Works Director Darold Wendlandt described several capital projects in procurement or design, including HVAC, City Hall renovations, Cedar Grove Community Center renovation (RFP 2605), and paving packages.
Rokovitz told council the city has five posted RFPs and expects more; he estimated about $7 million in capital projects this year, with leftover TSPLOST or LMIG dollars available for additional roadway work. Wendlandt reported that Crossroads subdivision work is in curing and paving is imminent, and that Watkins and Sardis roads are approaching completion with favorable bids delivering cost savings relative to budgeted amounts. The council approved the HVAC contract on a unanimous vote and instructed staff to proceed with procurement and project scheduling.
