Huachuca City schedules April 2 work session to study possible annexation

The Huachuca City Council directed staff to explore possible annexation of parcels along Highway 90 north of town and properties in the 400 and 500 blocks of Lower Huachuca City and scheduled a work session for April 2, 2026, at 6 p.m. to study the proposal in detail.
Town Manager Suzanne Harvey told council staff could evaluate costs of extending water, sewer and other municipal services to those areas, survey property-owner interest, and identify benefits and burdens to current town residents. Mayor Johann Wallace said he wanted a dedicated work session to "really get into it and see what we are looking at," and council members agreed to the April 2 date, moving a previously scheduled CDBG work session.
