Huachuca City council adopts ordinance to remove ban on firearms-related home-based businesses

On Feb. 26 the Huachuca City Council adopted Ordinance No. 2026-03, a change to Town Code Title 18, Chapter 18.100 that removes the local prohibition on firearms-related home-based businesses.
Mayor Johann R. Wallace introduced the second reading and told the council the revision is required to align the town code with state law. "This is something we have to adjust based on state law," Wallace said. The ordinance was adopted in a motion moved by Wallace and seconded by Christy Hirshberg; the minutes record the motion as passed unanimously.
