Town Manager Suzanne Harvey told the Huachuca City Council on Feb. 26 that the Town has been approved for a $4,529,000 low-interest long-term loan from the Greater Arizona Development Authority to acquire heavy equipment for landfill and public works operations.
"We were approved for $4,529,000.00 in a low interest long term loan," Harvey said, adding the funding will allow the town to purchase needed equipment and budget more effectively for its purchase and maintenance. Council discussed the scope of equipment purchases and the budget implications; the update was informational and did not record a separate vote to accept the loan terms in the meeting minutes.
