Selectboard readies paving bid after grant submissions; Chester A. Arthur paving length pending

Town Administrator Cathy Ainsworth reported that the town submitted a paving grant and a separate grant for a North Road culvert replacement. The Selectboard reviewed and revised the draft paving bid document and agreed to post it before Ainsworth's vacation; bids are scheduled to be opened on May 11.
Ainsworth said the length of Chester A. Arthur Road to be paved will be determined after the town learns the outcome of the paving grant, estimated by the end of May. The board also asked Ainsworth to check the state capital budget to see whether Chester Arthur Bridge has been included or prioritized following a prior letter to the Secretary of Transportation.
