South Chicago Heights to move regular meetings to second and fourth Mondays; special meeting set June 18 for audit

Matthews asked whether the board would agree to move regular meetings to the second and fourth Mondays of each month; the board agreed to the change and Attorney Erin Blake said her firm would draft an ordinance to formalize the new schedule.
Mayor Matthews also said he needed a special meeting to approve the proposal for the village's 2025 audit; trustees agreed to hold that special meeting on Thursday, June 18 at 4:00 p.m. Clerk Catherine Linan was asked to prepare materials and notices for the session.
The motion to reschedule requires a formal ordinance to take effect; the minutes record the board's consensus to proceed and the attorney's office will prepare enabling language.
