Treasurer Mindy Olson told trustees staff had included funding to address lead service at roughly five sites, estimating the per-site work at about $4,000–$5,000. She said the village is waiting for a vendor estimate before moving forward on water-tower repairs or replacements and that sewer costs will rise due to increased service at certain times of year.
Olson added the budget anticipates a new generator for the sewer lift station and that the site will require a protective fence and site work. Trustees asked staff to supply written estimates ahead of the public hearing and to include these capital needs in the next Board packet for formal consideration.
