The Parks Commission discussed an email exchange between staff and Ace Pyro in which the vendor requested a $1,000 increase to their contract for the 2026 fireworks show to maintain a display longer than 10 minutes. The board cited that a three-year contract had been signed that anticipated a 5% annual increase and chose to have the Village Attorney review the contract language before agreeing to the additional increase.
The commission postponed a final decision and will revisit the fireworks budget and contract language at the April meeting after receiving legal advice. The minutes record that the contract language and the vendor's expectations about annual increases will be considered in the attorney review.
