Airport Manager Russ Cornenia presented two proposals: Overhead Door of Worcester offered an insulated motorized door with new tracking and two electric lifts for $62,413; PowerLift Doors of New England quoted $77,552 but noted additional structural work and a raised header would be required. Cornenia said recent repairs to the existing manual door cost about $1,600 and that the door has become a safety issue.
Manager Cornenia requested permission to withdraw $125,000 from AIP Grant #67003525 (listed at $1.139 million in meeting materials) to pay for the Building #7 door, an interior door for the administration building and other maintenance items, including continuing clean-up of Building #6. Chair Clayton Raymond said he wanted firm cost estimates before committing grant dollars and said the tenant should be consulted about potential improvements and resulting rent adjustments.
No final expenditure was approved at the meeting; the manager was instructed to return with detailed numbers and tenant input. Any use of AIP funds would be subject to grant rules and additional approvals.
