The commission approved the motion with the condition that the county attorney review the paperwork.
Chair emphasized the county’s interest in buying locally where possible, asking staff to prioritize local firms within cooperative purchasing rules: “We want to procure all that we possibly can from local entities,” he said on the record. Commissioners requested a valuation breakdown and confirmation that the dump bodies and chassis transactions are documented clearly before final execution.
