City Manager: paving work begins, K9 Hex certified, City Center ribbon cutting set for July 7

City Manager Jesse Baker used the July 6 meeting to update the council on several operational items: the city has access to FY27 paving funds and contractors began work on Patchin Road, Officer Nick Candra and new K9 Hex completed initial certification and are now on patrol together, and a City Center Park ribbon-cutting is scheduled for 5 p.m. tomorrow at Market Street.
Baker also said the city will reuse yard signs this season to notify neighborhoods about upcoming paving and provided a QR link to the city's paving web page for details and schedules. He encouraged council and residents to attend the City Center Park opening.
