South Village HOA urges council to finalize playground MOU and begin construction

During the public‑comment portion, Beau Denham of the South Village HOA urged the council to prioritize construction of a neighborhood recreational element. Denham said a memorandum of understanding (MOU) drawn up in 2024 outlined steps for the project but that work has not moved forward. "We would like to finalize that MOU and begin construction on that project as soon as possible," Denham told the council.
Councilors acknowledged the comment; staff noted the South Village improvements item was on the workplan and that staff had recently met with the developer and were tracking the project within the bike-rack/core government lists. The council asked staff to retain visibility on the MOU and reported developer coordination was ongoing.
