The board approved three separate ARPA allocations at its Oct. 9 meeting. Councilwoman Dawn Nier moved, and Councilwoman Courtney Brown seconded, approval of $5,000 in ARPA funds to Hay Memorial Library to help pay for an accessibility ramp and a small addition on the driveway side; the motion carried. Councilwoman Brown moved, Councilwoman Nier seconded approval of $10,000 in ARPA funds to East Hounsfield Library for building repairs, furnace replacement and program needs; that motion also carried with all ayes.
In unfinished business the board voted to apply $4,500 in ARPA funds to ProudCity as the town's new website vendor (motion by Nier, seconded by Brown). Board discussion about purchasing a backhoe for the highway department using ARPA funds was noted but deferred to the November meeting; no purchase vote occurred at this session.
