Taylor Jennings of Barton & Loguidice presented project updates at the Oct. 9 Town Board meeting. The Old Rome State Road water main is reported as moving forward; town staff continue water meter replacements with only "10-15 meters left to replace" and a base station showing roughly "544-559 meters reporting," while billing integration work continues.
Jennings also reported NYSDEC and NYSDOT approvals for Sewer District #1 in Aug.–Sept. and that easement coordination is ongoing. For Water Service Area 8 the transcript shows the Comptroller has returned comments, surveyor field work has been completed, and Phase 1A is in process. The board adopted Resolution and Order #15 of 2024 to set a public hearing on Nov. 13, 2024 at 7:00 PM for Water Service Area 8 (motion by Councilwoman Nier; roll call recorded).
