Board members said they sensed resistance from some stakeholders at the earlier meeting and emphasized the county’s willingness to support a new building on county land to avoid moving the food bank onto parish property. No formal board funding decision for Project Care was recorded July 8; Everett said money was set aside and that staff would continue coordinating with the ministerial association and project organizers.
