Commission approves MOU to realign Pintlar Peaks Drive and record boundary adjustment

The Commission on July 7 approved a memorandum of understanding between MM Blue Sky LLC and Anaconda-Deer Lodge County to realign Pintlar Peaks Drive and record a boundary line adjustment previously approved by the board. Planning Director Carl Hamming said the MOU responds to prior neighbor concerns and incorporates edits requested by Commissioner Ed Beaudette and county counsel. "Although this might not be the perfect document, it reduces liability for the county and helps correct an error from nearly twenty years ago," CEO Bill Everett said, supporting approval to allow construction in the current season.
County Attorney Morgan Smith confirmed she had reviewed the MOU and that suggested edits had been incorporated; the Commission voted 5-0 to approve the agreement and permit recording so contractors can proceed with realignment work during the construction season.
