The Anaconda-Deer Lodge County Commission voted 5-0 to approve a Consulting Services Agreement between the county and consultant John Fitzpatrick after instructing the county attorney to amend language addressing binding-contract concerns raised in an earlier work session.
Commissioner Ed Beaudette introduced the motion, saying that "with the discussion during the work session, I believe the changes to be made concerning the contract as indicated by County Attorney Smith," and Commissioner Steve Gates seconded. Chair Kevin Hart opened the floor for public comment and none was offered. County Attorney Morgan Smith and staff will make the contract changes described during the work session before the agreement is finalized.
The vote was recorded as unanimous (5-0). The commission did not attach additional conditions beyond the attorney's edits; the motion's approval authorizes county staff to complete the revised agreement and proceed with execution.
