Becker-Witt re-elected chair as commission names officers and committee representative
Summary
Mary Becker-Witt was re-elected Chair for 2026–2027; Ted Batzer was elected Vice Chair; Tyler Dula elected Secretary; Jessica Sorensen elected Recording Secretary. Becker-Witt was also appointed the Commission's representative to the County Recreation Commission.
The Commission completed its officer elections for the July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 term. Phil Landis nominated Mary Becker-Witt for Chair and Jeff Dontz seconded; Becker-Witt was elected by voice vote. Duane Jones nominated Ted Batzer for Vice Chair (seconded by Jeff Dontz); Batzer was elected by voice vote. Phil Landis nominated Tyler Dula for Secretary (seconded by Duane Jones); Dula was elected by voice vote. Chair Becker-Witt nominated Jessica Sorensen for Recording Secretary; Sorensen was elected by voice vote.
The Commission also appointed Becker-Witt as its representative to the County Recreation Commission. Staff said they will check alternate requirements for committee appointments and provide an update at the next meeting. The meeting adjourned at 3:27 p.m.
