Board approves consent items and adopts three revised board policies

The Santee board approved the consent agenda, which included travel requests, expenditure warrants, purchase orders, general services agreements, acceptance of donations and grants, award of CUPCCAA informal‑bid projects, ratification of a nonpublic school master contract with Fred Finch Youth Center, personnel actions, and authorization to submit a DoDEA readiness grant application.
President Barbara Ryan said the board also completed three second readings and adopted revised Board Policies BP 5020 (Parent Rights and Responsibilities), BP 5022 (Student and Family Privacy Rights) and BP 6158 (Independent Study). "There were three (3) second readings for adoption," the minutes state; Member Burns moved approval and the board approved the adoptions by unanimous vote.
