Commissioners approve zoning change for 10-acre Bruhn tract in McGahan Township

At 9:20 a.m. on July 21, Mountrail County Commissioners opened a public hearing on a zoning amendment requested by landowners Jerimey and Nichol Bruhn to rezone a 10-acre tract (north 10 acres of Outlot 1, SE1/4 Section 1, Township 156 North, Range 89 West, McGahan Township) from Commercial to Agricultural. Planning & Zoning Administrator Melissa Vachal presented the Planning & Zoning Commission recommendation to approve the amendment.
Commissioner Wayne Olson moved to approve the zoning request, Commissioner Jason Rice seconded, and the board voted unanimously to grant the amendment on the condition that the Bruhns comply with all other terms and conditions of the Mountrail County Land Development Code. The action was recorded in the official minutes and the change is effective upon filing and compliance with applicable requirements.
The hearing record and the Planning & Zoning recommendation will remain part of the county file for the property; interested parties may review materials with the Planning & Zoning Office.
