Superintendent Dr. Kristin Baranski acknowledged retired Drug Enforcement Administration agent Rocky Herron and his "I Choose My Future" presentations. Baranski said Herron’s March presentations to grades 6–8 were well received and that site staff and students asked that he return annually.
Mr. Herron thanked the board and administration for inviting him back and noted, "Santee School District was the only district in the County to allow him to present at all school sites." The board expressed gratitude for the prevention outreach and asked administration to continue coordinating the program.
