Board asks staff for trail-gap update, seeks TxDOT sidewalk coordination on FM 2499

The staff speaker stated, “Scott Christian, director of public works. And he is aware of the of the board's desire and the city's desire to do the infill on those sidewalks within the city limits.”
Staff also confirmed that the trails master plan and update identify existing gaps and asked the board to provide direction on specific areas to prioritize. Board members indicated they would like a staff report on trail gaps and the possibility of sunsetting the CDC once prioritized trail projects are complete so the board can assess remaining funds and next steps.
