The board adopted Resolution No. 324 to authorize two one-week sessions of a Summer Arts Youth Program at the Nesin Cultural Arts Center to be held Aug. 17–21 and Aug. 24–28, 2026. The program is open to up to 25 youths (Pre-K through 12th grade) per session; parents will pay a $50 fee per youth and the Town will subsidize the remaining cost up to $200 per youth, with the Town’s total fiscal exposure capped at $5,000.
The resolution was moved by Councilman Richard L. Benjamin, Jr. and seconded by Councilman Ryan T. Schock and passed by the three members present. The action aims to extend summer arts programming and keep costs manageable for families while limiting the Town’s maximum subsidy.
