Spring Grove Parks Committee reports progress on playgrounds, trails and fountains

At its July 28 meeting the Spring Grove Parks Committee reviewed summer project progress: playground expansion and court striping at Springdale Trails, new fountains and tree work at Hatchery Park, and upcoming siding work at Horse Fair Park.
Chairperson Ashley Britt opened the July 28 Parks Committee meeting with updates on summer park projects across Spring Grove. She said the Springdale Trails playground equipment expansion is nearly complete and that the basketball court there has been restriped. The committee met at the Municipal Centre and listed staff present, including Public Works Supervisor Mike Frer and Police Chief Mike Niedzwiecki.
Britt also reported work at Hatchery Park and Horse Fair Park (see separate items). The committee recorded that several projects are advancing this season and that staff continue to track timelines and costs. The meeting concluded with a motion to adjourn at 6:38 p.m.
