Executive Director Chaffey reported that, as part of long-range facilities planning, the homeowner at 241 Elm Street has expressed interest in selling their property. The district obtained an appraisal valuing the parcel at $335,000 and has funding set aside for long-term capital improvements that could be used for the purchase.
Chaffey recommended taking next steps to make an offer and said that if a purchase agreement is reached, he would bring the agreement to a future board meeting for consideration and possible approval. "We have funding set aside for long-term capital improvements which is what would be used to make the purchase," the transcript records Chaffey stating at the session.
