During the airport budget discussion, Councilmember Houston Marchman asked why fuel costs were higher than in previous years. Staff explained the "cost to purchase the fuel was estimated to be higher," contributing to increased line-item projections in the FY27 budget.
Mayor Bruce Alexander also raised questions about whether hangar electricity is charged at wholesale or retail rates; staff was directed to determine the actual rates charged. The council requested follow-up information to clarify operating cost drivers before finalizing the enterprise fund budget at the next workshop.
No budget adjustments were adopted at the June 25 workshop; the matters were left for staff analysis and reporting at the June 30 meeting.
