Summary

During supervisors' requests, Mr. Walsh raised concerns about overgrown grass in retention areas adjacent to the golf course โ particularly on Hole 8 โ where grass can grow to knee height and interfere with play. He noted resource trade-offs and that changes will be kept to a minimum, with May through October being the most problematic months.
Separately, Mr. Hurley and Mr. Adams discussed algae issues on Ponds 7, 5 and 11. Mr. Adams said he will request a proposal from another contractor that has successfully treated problematic irrigation holding ponds in the area.
The board did not adopt a formal policy change at the meeting but recorded the direction for staff follow-up and future consideration.
