Board sets senior luncheon, pool party planning and outlines July 250th event costs

During unfinished business the board rescheduled the Senior Luncheon from May 15 to May 23, 2026 and set the minimum age for seniors at 55; menu options under consideration were pulled pork or chicken and dumplings. Trustees Terrah Bevolo or Tammy Adams were assigned to contact the Roxana Pool to secure a date for a community pool party.
Trustee Greg Adams commended maintenance work completed at five intersections in town. The board also agreed to review its attendance and compensation policy for trustees with excessive absences. Mayor TJ Callahan presented a breakdown of all financial costs related to the upcoming Fourth of July 250th-year event and stated a goal of transparency in those expenditures.
