Public Works Superintendent Brian English told trustees that lead-line testing frequency was shortened from a 10-year to a 3-year program after recent tests, increasing near-term replacement planning and costs. English warned that if the Village must drain its water tower for work, it may need to tie into the Massey tower for an expected 2–3 month period while repairs occur.
Treasurer Mindy Olson said the board still awaits final department input on several line items and that she and department heads will continue to refine budget projections. Trustees discussed phasing park funding and leaving some items to the next budget cycle to balance immediate infrastructure needs and longer-term park projects.
